Quartzite is a very hard metamorphic rock that originated as sandstone. Through a process of high heat and pressure, the sandstone is transformed into quartzite, an extremely strong and durable natural stone. When heated, individual quartz pieces recrystallize, giving it a beautiful and shimmering pattern. Quartzite is ideal for any countertop due to its strength and long-lasting composition.
Natural materials vary from lot to lot, and even within the same lot, differences in shade, color and grain can be seen. For this reason, samples and photos should be taken as a guide only.
